Description	AHRA gets its unique features from the character of the Arkansas River, a wild to mild 150 mile long river that travels from the historic town of Leadville through Colorado’s tallest mountains all the way to the edge of Colorado’s plains. One of the world's most popular whitewater rivers for kayaking, canoeing, and rafting, the river’s spectacular views make the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable white-water experience. Colorado Parks and Wildlife gets everyone outdoors! Attracting more than 12 million visitors per year, Colorado's 43 State Parks are a vital cornerstone of Colorado's economy and quality of life.
