At an elevation of 8,000 feet, Vega State Park’s high-mountain lake sits in a beautiful sub-alpine meadow on the western edge of Grand Mesa National Forest in Western Colorado. Enjoy year-round wildlife watching, water sports in the summer and snow sports in the winter. At the peak of the fall colors, the park hosts the Annual “Wrap Yourself in Gold” Mountain Festival.
