Western Colorado's Oasis in the Desert! Highline Lake is the center of all the watersports action, while Mack Mesa Lake is quieter, allowing only hand-or electric-powered boats. Both lakes have great fishing. The shaded, grassy campground is a great base camp for hikers and bikers using the nearby North Fruita Desert and Kokopelli Trails. A variety of wildlife and birds are common; there are two Watchable Wildlife Information Kiosks with viewing scopes overlooking Highline Lake. Seasonally, swimming at the swimbeach and picnicking in the grassy, shaded day use area or at one of the tables and grills dispersed throughout the park is a great way to enjoy the outdoors.
